Position Purpose:
The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of design and build projects for serviced offices, coworking spaces, and corporate fit-out. They ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating between interior design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients. The role requires technical understanding of interior fit-out, strong leadership, and meticulous project tracking.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop detailed project plans covering design, procurement, execution, and handover phases.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to align schedules and priorities.
- Use project management tools to track progress, flag risks, and update milestones.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Review BOQs, cost estimates, and quotations to ensure budget compliance.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, and control variations.
- Work with IT and procurement teams for supplier selection and contract management.
- Support value engineering initiatives without compromising design quality.
3. Site Supervision & Execution:
- Lead site coordination meetings with contractors, engineers, and designers.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Review progress against schedule, ensuring timely completion of critical activities.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly, providing technical and managerial guidance.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and approve completed works.
4. Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during execution.
- Communicate project updates, progress reports, and potential delays clearly.
- Ensure design intent is upheld during construction.
- Manage change requests, approvals, and documentation.
- Support client onboarding and handover, ensuring full operational readiness.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out, MEP coordination, and workplace design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar project tracking software.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
